Scary Strangers travelled to the 11th Annual Brisbane Improv Festival, hosted by Big Fork Theatre. Ru and Tom hosted a workshop, show, and were featured in shows produced by fellow improvisers throughout the festival.

Ru first joined the acclaimed BWC lineup at Sydney Comedy Festival in 2023, marking the beginning of an exciting comedy journey. She has since toured with the show across regional Australia and featured at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

In 2025, Scary Strangers unleashed the biggest ITS Smackdown ever, producing and hosting the annual improv throwdown with a record-breaking 28 teams and 88 fearless performers, culminating in a Grand Final at the iconic Eternity Playhouse in Darlinghurst.

In 2025, Scary Strangers travelled West to Lithgow with a bold idea: help locals find their voice through comedy. Over 8 weeks, Ru and Tom trained participants in Stand Up Comedy, followed by a live graduation showcase at the Union Theatre.

In October 2024, Scary Strangers ventured across the pond to India, hosting workshops and performances in Delhi, Udaipur and Mumbai.

Big Cat Club improvised comedy extravaganza was made possible with the generous support of the City of Sydney. The program included an eleven show series featuring Sydney’s best improv comics making it all up on the spot!

Scary Strangers were featured in the Australian Museum’s Jurassic Lounge program in 2022 and 2023, presenting both their acclaimed science-comedy show and the Museum’s T-Rex Autopsy.

A training program where we taught scientists comedy and performance techniques culminating in a national touring live comedy showcase with stand-up sets inspired by their research.

The show that started it all! AYHAL was Scary Strangers inaugural monthly comedy variety night that ran from October 28, 2020 to November 1, 2023.
